ODETDP (Occupationally-directed Education, Training and Development Practices)
Entry Requirements
- Communication at NQF Level 4
- Mathematical literacy at NQF Level 4
- NQF Level 4 / Grade 12 Certificate
- At least one year training experience in the ETD field
Duration
4 Study schools of 5 days each. Portfolio of Evidence to be completed and submitted after each study school, prior to attending the next study school.
Who should attend?
This qualification is for those who want to build on existing experience or wish to enter the field of ODETD as a potential career, and have little or no previous exposure to education, training and development. The qualification will also be valuable for those who may have been practising within the field, but without formal recognition. The qualification will be useful for:
- Learning facilitators
- Assessors
- Skills Development Facilitators
- Learner and learning supporters and stakeholders
NO PANEL PRESENTATION as delegates are required to facilitate and present throughout the training as part of the formative assessment process.

Certification
Candidates who successfully complete all four study schools, with required portfolios of evidence, will be awarded the full qualification 50334.
This enables them to enroll for the National Diploma in OD ETD Practice.
Certification: Candidates who successfully complete all four study schools (with the required portfolio of evidence) will be awarded the full Qualification 50331 with a Statement of Result and Certificate from the ETDP SETA upon being found competent.
